The Broad Breasted White is commercially the most widely used breed of domesticated turkey. These birds have shorter breast bones and larger breasts. They produce more breast meat and their pin feathers are less visible when dressed due to their white color. These properties have made the breed popular in commercial turkey production.

Buy the right size turkey – Whole Turkey- 1 pound per person / Turkey Breast-1/2 pound per person

Storing turkey – Turkey can be held 3 to 4 days in the coldest part of the refrigerator. To hold an extra day or two, place in freezer for several hours to chill and then place in the refrigerator.
